The technology year that was: 2009

While 2009 will be remembered for lots of reasons other than consumer technology, this was a pretty significant year in that regard as well. From the end of analog broadcasting, to the rise -- and perhaps fall -- of netbooks, to the establishment of "must-have" tech that we'll be enjoying for years to come, there were stories big and small to keep us entertained about the ways we like to be entertained. Here's my take on the ones that mattered most:
